Hungry Creek Bed and Breakfast is located in a Tuscan villa set on 1/12 acres of gardens bordering the Hungry Creek River which leads to historic Puhoi.
Our warm, friendly and spacious accommodation is welcoming and secluded and as hosts we feel it is important to respect your privacy. The interior scheme is split level with high ceilings, slate, plaster and Rimu finishes and large windows. The main accommodation, bathrooms and guest lounge are all on one level and accessibility friendly.
We have three rooms to choose from: one twin single, one double bedroom and one large luxury suite with large private in floor spa, large ensuite with walk in shower for two and its own private access.
Each room is north facing and each opens onto a shared but private courtyard overlooking the grounds. The double and twin single rooms share an adjacent bathroom. The luxury suite also includes a unique movable TV which can be watched from the spa, small fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, microwave, ironing board and iron, internet connection. We welcome children and also small pets by arrangement. There is also a large north facing guest lounge with wood burning fireplace, small library, TV, DVD, Video and Freeview and family games. On a lower level a large north facing guest dining room with tea and coffee making facility's can also be found.

Thursday through to Sunday and public holidays

Individual stay $75.00 per night, Twin $125.00 per couple per night, Double Room: $115.00 per couple per night, Luxury Suite $150.00 per couple per night.
Monday through to Wednesday and excluding public holidays
Individual stay $65.00 per night, Twin $110.00 per couple per night, Double Room $100.00 per couple per night, Luxury Suite $ 130.00 per couple per night.
Light meals and special meals for allergies are available but are to be arranged ahead of time. We can also provide transport to and from specific venues if required for an extra charge. There is a BBQ and outdoor dining available and you are welcome to take the row boat up the river. There is also plenty of free parking and you are welcome to bring your house pets by arrangement.

Puhoi Village is only 5 minutes drive away, where you can find an historic museum showcasing Puhoi's early pioneering history, original church, the smallest library in NZ, shop at a traditional old fashioned general store, stop in at the world famous Puhoi Pub or local tearooms serving authentic English teas, relax at the picturesque Puhoi cheese factory, peruse the art and pottery studios, or hire a canoe and explore the area by river. Why not stop at Mustard Makers for country style mustards, pickles, chutneys and jams to accompany your authentic Puhoi cheese!
Waiwera Thermal Resort and Spa is a short 6 minute drive down the road or you can select from any of the spectacular and secluded beaches in the area. There are many walks to choose from or jump in the car and sample local vineyards on your way to the areas famous Matakana Farmers Market. There are also plenty of boutiques, cafes and restaurants in Warkworth, Orewa and surrounding areas.
Hungry Creek Bed and Breakfast is located at 5 Hungry Creek Road, Puhoi.
Hungry Creek Road is accessed off State Highway One just beyond the Puhoi Village turn off and approximately 1.5ks north of the new motorway tunnels. If you are coming from Auckland City you can expect 40 minutes travel time or from Auckland Airport approximately 1 hours travel time.
